Out now is a magical new organic house release from Yamil who is makeing a return to Sabo’s Sol Selectas record label with the “La Flor Colorada” EP. His three original tracks are accompanied by reworked versions by Xinobi, Angelos and Derun.

Those who are familiar with Sol Selectas will know of the label’s influential role within the organic house scene, which also overlaps into other genres ranging from downtempo electronica to afro house and deep house.

Yamil is a Spanish artist who has made numerous appearances on Sol Selectas, alongside other revered record labels such as MoBlack and Monaberry. The remix artists on this release are also very accomplished, Xinobi is a Portuguese artist known for the many influential Indie dance and Afro house tracks he has released via his own imprint Discotexas.

Angelos is a Greek producer who has released Afro house tracks on respected labels such as Rebellion, Madorasindahouse and Pets Recordings. Derun are a duo from Turkey who along with previous outings on Sol Selectas have worked with the likes of 3000 Grad Records and Cosmic Awakenings.

La Flor Colorada is a majestic track with rattling percussion and shimmering synths that have been fused with congas and powerful vocals by Panama based vocalist Rosalinda de Espada. “Naidi” is next of the originals, and it’s got thick bass chords and sensual vocals that fill the track with emotion. “Sanctuary” is last of the originals, and it’s a downtempo track with heavy percussion and dramatic synth chords.

Xinobi’s provides an exhilarating remix of Naidi with dramatic percussion and a new bassline that combines seamlessly with the vocals and piano that are taken from the original. Angelos’ remix of Sanctuary follows a similar formula, as he provides an up-tempo afro house rework with dramatic percussion. Derun delivers a second remix of Sanctuary, which also lifts the tempo, but instead, they add new synths to create a melodic version with uplifting vibes.
