After such a successful debut last year, it’s no wonder Amsterdam based house crew PIV is back in Ibiza this summer. The label has very much carved out its own niche – a slick mix of neon synths, future grooves and deep house from a range of cutting edge new school names. This years season features six dates and the opener was an unforgettable one.

The venue for this is Cova Santa, which has become a firm favourite party spot for those who know – it’s off the beaten track with a world class sound system, gorgeous open air terrace and vibey indoor space known as Club. It is surrounded by forest and in a natural cave carved out by water over many thousands of years and offers a personal and boho experience with stunning views back down over the island.

In all there were five next level back to back sets from Prunk b2b Artmann, M-High b2b Kolter, Anil Aras b2b Dennis Quin and Job de Jong b2b Jamback. This set up brought the best out of each artist with plenty of the label’s most seminal tunes saved up along some fresh surprise sounds. The crowds are international, friendly and up for it. They know their stuff and cheer each new mix to make for a killer vibe.

It is truly bumping for this party with early evening sets going deeper and pumping up the energy. The subtle lighting is perfect for the classy sounds and despite the event being for 12 hours, the energy levels never dip and people barely leave the dance floors.

With numerous residencies all over the world already under its belt, this one has to be right up there as one of the best.
