Hey Edvin, how are you, what’s good in your world right now?
I’m currently doing great! I try to enjoy the present thinking about the future 🙂
Why and when did you start in music?
My parents had seen clearly what was inside that little box…hehehe. It was they who directed me to classical music and it was there that I decided to make my life very hard 🙂 Choosing to study the violin.
Tell us about playing violin – what standard are you?
I am of the opinion the violin requires a lot of sensibility, delicacy, dedication, kindness and much love. You have to be nice to her because she becomes part of you. At the moment I play it for pure personal pleasure, I don’t think I have a future as a violinist but for sure it’s my background.
Do you use those skills when making electronic music?
Of course, all the melodic parts written in my productions are the result of classical music
You play live as well as DJing right? How are the two different?
Live or DJ? I think it’s just a matter of attitude! With a Live set you can indulge yourself in many ways to play with dj-ing instead you have less margin, unless you are a master of the technique.
When it comes to DJing – are you someone who likes to get people in a trance, or who likes a sense of fun in their sets, or who likes to shock etc etc etc
I think Trance is the most suitable adjective. When I play I turn into something that I can’t explain in words. I like to transport people to my dimension but at the same time they must have fun, stay light and take advantage of their positive thoughts. Communicating without having to speak is a golden rule.
And where is your best environment? A small dark club or a huge outdoor festival stage? late at night for the weirdos?
Club is for me, miss the festival and I’m sure it will come.
And when making music, what are your aims, what sounds are you most found of, what is the aim of your tunes?
First rule when I work in the studio is to start thinking about what I want and where I would like my productions to be played. I always try to create a deep substantial environment in my productions and it is what identifies me and makes me feel at ease.
Tell us about your new EP on Moodart Records – what inspired it?
As always I try to find inspiration in everything that happens around me, moments, people, emotions and I can say that ’Defiance EP’ is the result of the past two years. It was not easy to finish it, there was a moment that I wanted to stop everything but I am a person who never gives up and so I’m here I’m talking about it. Is receiving excellent feedbacks from established artists in the music industry and I hope I did a good job.
What’s next, what else you working on?
Everything to plan, a bit like my life.
