One of Europe’s most beautiful festivals GEM Fest is back bigger than ever in 2020 and for the first time lands in Europe from 7th to 9th August on a paradise-like Greek island called Zakynthos. The first wave of names to play this breathtaking beach escape includes Paul Van Dyk and ATB, Swanky Tunes, dOP (live), Onur Ozer, Andrea Ferlin, Marikhi and Efim Kerbut amongst many more.

GEM Fest 2020 is set to be a very rare chance to get away to an unreal location and dance in safety. The country has been declared exempt from all travel bans because of its low number of COVID-19 cases meaning you can head out and back without the need to self-isolate at either end. The festival will have full safety measures in place, with testing for VIP guests and thermoscreening for all upon entry to the festival and much more so the message is loud and clear: Come to Greece! Ready to recalibrate? At GEM Fest you will feel as if you’re on the set of a high-budget film, starring you. The backdrop, the soundtrack. Fully alive, immersed in the insane natural beauty of Greece, world class music, new friendships and high vibes.

The location is mythic: Keri village of Zakynthos is just being discovered by the outside world. It has sheer white cliffs dropping into seas of milky blue and sapphire, the wild beauty of ancient stony hills, pine and cedar forests, 1000-year old olive groves, agate beaches, a fishing harbor, coves with green pools and wind-sculpted boulders, luminous underwater caves, the iconic beach at Marathonisi Island and more that you can explore and discover on your trip. Free busses from town, the airport, Laganas resort and the Keri harbor will bring you to a mountain venue, with 360-degree views of forests, the village, the sea, a lighthouse, voted one of the world’s best sunset spots. You will meet kindred souls, enjoy healing nature, free self-expression and have the time and space for your own epiphany. Add in the world famous food and healing qualities of the culture and landscapes and you have an idyllic getaway.

GEM Fest was first created in 2015 on the beautiful beach of Black Sea pearl, Anaklia and is about so much more than music. Now set up in Greece and planning to stay there for a whole decade, GEM always comes alive with sport, games, flea markets and exhibitions that bustle with fun and culture. As such it soon built up a reputation as one of the finest festivals in the region and one with a real focus on uniting world class DJs with like minded party animals.

This year you can expect three days and three nights of unlimited music and non-stop entertainment across some magical stages and with 100 artists in all at this multi-format and unforgettable electronic getaway on the breathtaking beaches of Zakynthos. Headliners include trance dons like Paul Van Dyk and ATB, DJ Mag Top 100 stars Swanky Tunes, house heroes dOP who play live, underground minimal favourite Onur Ozer – who has been a GEM regular since day one – and Andrea Ferlin, Marikhi, Efim Kerbut and more also play. As for travel, Zakynthos International Airport Dionysios Solomos receives domestic flights from Athens and Kefalonia as well as numerous other locations around Europe. The airport is located about 5 km from Zakynthos Town and other popular locations, like Laganas, Tsilivi and Kalamaki. Getting to Zakynthos is also easy from the port of Killini via a one hour ferry. Once you arrive, there are plenty of hotels for every budget. This is an exciting new chapter for GEM, who have already made their mark in the East and now bring all their know how to Europe for an ultimate beach party.
