Hey!! Great to meet you! I like to start on a big positive so what has been the highlight so far of 2022 for you?

Hey thank you for having me! So far 2022 has been very good, I’m grateful for all the good news I’m receiving, especially when I signed on my dream label. I can’t wait to reveal what’s coming up for the rest of the year.

How long have you been DJing and Producing for now?

I started to DJ 7 years ago. I did my first steps into producing about 4 years ago.

When you’re working on a new project, what’s your typical starting point? How do you break it down and how do you like to generate your ideas?

I usually start a project without knowing what I’ll end up with, I just go with the flow on the spot. I like to start with the bassline as it’s the initial groove pillar, then work my way forward.

Do you prefer to work solo or with a gang – and what are some of your most memorable professional collaborations?

Production-wise, I like to go solo, as I’m very shy. I can’t create to my full potential if i’m not by myself. I have done several collabs with my dear friend Trangaz, our first of many EPs together will be released in September.

As for DJing, I enjoy occasional b2bs with people I appreciate deeply, to me it’s essential to play with someone that you know and with whom you have a connection, so that the story told during the set is the best possible.

Regarding my young career, I am blessed to have the most amazing team that I trust with my whole heart.

And when it comes to your field, producing, are there any particular ideas  or pioneers that you go back to frequently or who really influence your thinking when starting a new project?

I am deeply inspired by the source of Electronic music: Chicago House. Listening to music from the legends and pioneers of House like Paul Johnson, DJ Sneak, DJ Deeon, K Alexi Shelby, DJ Pierre always pumps me with inspiration. No unnecessary noise, just pure groove made with love and passion.

On a typical day, what does your ‘listening diet’ look like? What are your favourite tracks/albums/playlists when you are on the road?

Before doing this professionally, I HAD to have music wherever I go, in the car, in the train, when i’m walking… It would have been the biggest problem if I ever forgot my headphones. Today, I enjoy silence, and when I listen to music casually, I listen to different genres, especially from the 90s era. I have no particular listening routine, but to give examples I like to listen to DJ Sneak’s livestreams, Mark Farina’s jazz podcasts etc.

Could you take us through a day in your life, from a possible morning routine through to your work? Do you have a fixed schedule?

I don’t have a fixed schedule, but I have a TO DO LIST. I don’t pressure myself to do things, I just get them done according to my mood and priority order. I wake up (usually late.. haha), have coffee, count my blessings, work out, then I deal with my music career duties, I’m a night owl and I like to stay up late. I feel creativity flows more when the sun goes down.

How do music and other aspects of your life feed back into each other – do you separate them or instead try to make them blend seamlessly?

Music is my life and passion, everything is music and vibrations to me. I am driven by it, even when I’m not listening to it.

Let’s talk travel! It’s often cited as one of the most creatively inspiring things you can do – I’d love to know what are the most exciting or inspiring experiences you’ve had when it comes to sound and music on your travels?

Absolutely, traveling is a true gift. The most amazing experience I had with sound was when I was in Florianopolis, Brazil. I had a spiritual gathering in the jungle with shamans, I took some very special tea, and the music they played resonated in every cell in my body. It’s hard to describe but it was epic.

As we age, our ears change physically and our tastes evolve too, and life changes mean we don’t get to engage in our passions in the same intensity as in our youth – how has your relationship with sound and music changed over the years?

Totally agree. I went through it all i think, as a kid I was obsessed with Queen, Micheal Jackson. As a teen, i went from Rock to Hip Hop to RnB to Electronic music.. All of this shaped my taste of today.

What exciting plans can you share with us that you have coming up in 2022?

I’m releasing on my dream label, creating my own label, I will release a collab EP with Trangaz, I will have a residency in a top show in Ibiza, and many more upcoming shows I’m so excited to share.
